AMERICANS IN JAPAN KA#nnn

THIS IS MY AMERICAN CALLSING QSL’S FROM JAPAN

The history of Japanese call signs is a little be complexe, specially the asignations after WW II. There is a big clarification in the following website I recommend you visit: Ryota Motobayashi JJ 1WTL

In resume:

1. After WWII the Allied Forces can use the callsing J#nnn (i.e. J2AAA) as you can see in the Japan J#nnn Gallery.

2. In 1.1.1949 the J#nnn calls were replaced by JA#NN (i.e. JA2OA, JA2BI an others) as you can see in the Japan JA Gallery.

3.  In june 1950 were replaced again, this time the JA#nn by the KA@nnn as you can see in the Japan KA#nnn Gallery.

4.  From the end of the WWII until 1952 the only radio amateurs in Japan were the Allied Forces operators. Was in that year, 1952, the start of the Japanese cititcens operations using the JA#nn
